3970 – August 14, 2026 – MOTHER MAY I? – REMEMBER “Mother May I?” It was a classic childhood group game where players tried to reach a designated “mother” by asking permission to take specific steps or make funny movements. The first player to reach the mother won the game and became the new mother.
How to Set Up
- Gather three or more players.
- Choose one person to be the “mother”.
- The mother stands 10 to 20 feet away.
- All other players line up in a row facing the mother.
Rules of Play
- Players take turns asking: “Mother, may I take [number] [type of step] forward?”
- Common movement types include giant steps, baby steps, hop steps, or frog leaps.
- The mother replies with either “Yes, you may” or “No, you may not, but instead you may…” (giving a different number or movement).
- If a player moves without asking or forgets to say “Mother, may I?”, they must go back to the start line.
- The first person to touch the mother wins
It occurred to me that President Trump has been forced into a “Mother May I” situation as he tries to govern us as we elected him to.
Mother May I:
Fire some of the bureaucrats who are underperforming? OR refuse to come to work?
May I discontinue the fraudulent payments being made from USAID?
May I use Tariffs to even out our trade on the worlds stage to make sure America is not on the losing end?
May I have permission to build a much-needed addition to the White House?
