3876 – April 6, 2026 – Invasion from without, and Convulsions within – After we won our Independence our young nation was basically in total chaos. They were in constant arguments and extremely heated disagreements. We might chuckle as it appears our Congress is in such today … I disagree. Congress today is more about their political jobs than they are about preserving or protecting Liberty. They have Zero respect for We the People – THUS our nation’s Debt!
My husband and I went to see the movie “The Great Awakening” on Friday evening. I believe it should be required that all Americans see this movie. 😊 The Great Awakening… a story (REAL) of the birth of America… the awakening NOT of the politicians (although some most definitely were) BUT of the People!
This Awakening took place before our revolution… bring thousands upon thousands to Jesus Christ.
It is the story of Rev George Whitfield. George Whitefield’s key pastor friends and close associates included John and Charles Wesley, with whom he helped launch the Methodist movement. He also worked closely with American theologian Jonathan Edwards and Presbyterian preacher Gilbert Tennant during the Great Awakening and enjoyed a notable friendship with John Newton.
It is the story of Rev Whitfield’s relationship with Benjamin Franklin, whom Whitfield gifted all his Journals… Amazing story!
