These Are The (Pandemic) Times That Try Men’s Souls

THESE are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands by it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. HOW DARE HE! HOW DARE YOU! HOW DARE THEM ALL!
The King called them Intolerable and passed an ACT to restrain them.
(March to June, 1774 – The British Parliament passes the Coercive Acts, often called the Intolerable Acts in America. Among other actions, Britain closes the port of Boston and requires British troops to be housed in taverns and vacant buildings. The acts generate considerable sympathy for Massachusetts among other colonies.)
Hillary called them deplorable and irredeemable because they dared to disagree with her. She couldn’t “persuade them” to buy her lies.
The left who wish to control and break this nation, now look at your protests to get back to work, as a crime upon humanity. They make fun of you, because they believe the average Americans are uneducated and stupid, so they called you zombies.
AOC said that only in America when we talk about Liberty does the president say get back to work. You should boycott your 70-hour week and not go back to work. Just don’t go back to work! Stay home! While she’s not the brightest bulb in the box, you must understand, she is a socialist and she is a great danger to this nation.
Then we have the priceless, highly self-thought-of Governor Andrew Cuomo who revealed his disgust and anger toward the New Yorkers who dared to want to go back to work and dared to protest, “If you want a job, get a job as an essential worker.”
I heard a so-called news anchor yell, “Do you really need a haircut that bad?” You see, they are all clueless. None of these have missed a paycheck. Governor Cuomo and his diva-drama-queen brother Chris, are multimillionaires. Chris admitted the other day that he doesn’t have to work and put up with this “stuff,” he doesn’t need to subject himself to ridicule and work and disease. And so we all sympathize and applaud his sacrifice?

It isn’t the protesting Americans who are zombies, it’s the mainstream media, who are on the air each day and say the same things. It would seem they’re all handed the same script in the morning and they must repeat it over and over and over again.
Nantoinette Pelosi has her ice cream – she figuratively says to you, “Let them eat cake!”
Governor Cuomo says to New Yorkers who dare to protest and plea to go back to work and open their businesses, “You’re not essential!”
AOC wants you to stay home so she can make you one of her socialist sheeples. You’ll do what she says because you’ll be getting your ‘life’ from the government.
Let me suggest to you that the democrats (ameriKan communists) don’t just want a $15 minimum wage, they want a $15 maximum wage for all you intolerable-deplorable-irredeemable-non-essential-zombies. As their guide book calls you, “the useful idiots”
Nazi Germany demanded snitches; so are many of the governors today!
This is not the America that our Founding Fathers envisioned!
Thomas Paine wrote of a crisis, as our nation prepared to break away from Britain and the King’s tyrannical ways. I started this article with a portion of the first paragraph of that writing.
How dare he encourage those colonists to stand against the tyranny. How dare they (the colonists) want to work and own land, to travel without permission, to worship where and when they want to! How dare you, who attempt to think independently of others, to question one scientist’s findings over another, to compare data on your own, or to question anyone who is in authority.
I’m not a rebel but as my in-laws have complained of me, I am independent. I can, however, be overly trusting and I believe as Americans we have been that for many, many decades. When referring to our political arena,
I am very skeptical of “political science.” I see the politicians and the pundits as manipulators and takers. They will manipulate you into giving them your very last dime: for the good of the whole community.
Seize the moment and don’t let a crisis go to waste, is the philosophy of most of the career politicians.
I’m encouraged by the pandemic protestors. Enough is enough already! Is it better for citizens to die of disease or to die of starvation? Being independent and sovereign people is the American way! AOC wants you to be reliant on government, not God and certainly not on yourself.
The word sovereign is abhorrent to socialists and the word independent doesn’t fit into their way of governance.
These are the times that try the very souls of men and women. Will you choose this day; liberty, sovereignty, freedom and independence, or will you choose to be a government subject, where you might be paid $15 an hour and you might find a morsel of food in America’s breadline. Don’t count on a lump of coal for the fire though, that simply will not be allowed in AOC’s new green-less and free-less America. (I use the word subject because in the left’s vision of America, there are no citizens, just subjects.)
The COVID-19 Pandemic is a virus turned crisis! Americans now say, “Give me Liberty or give me death!”
These are the times that try men’s souls.
