You better watch out,
You better not cry,
You better not pout,
I’m telling you why…
Santa Claus is coming to town!
It’s Christmas Eve ya’ll…
So much yet to be done…
I never wore a kerchief, and my husband never wore a cap,
And who in the world has time for a nap?
There’s cleaning and cooking yet to be done… Wrapping the packages… one by one by one…
They must get done!
Just take a deep breath…
It will all soon transpire!
Start tackling each task and throw another log on that fire.
Soon all will be completed,
Upon which time you can take your winter’s rest.
Santa is real, of that I am quite certain, but the magic of that elf… doesn’t reside in my kitchen nor on a nearby shelf.
FOR Christmas is less than a day away…
Put on your favorite Christmas album…
and get yourself to it!
For the magic that will happen requires diligence, patience and hard work.
Tomorrow morning… yes, it will come too soon, but the Magic of your Love… will be appreciated by those who come to feast and enjoy… Christmas Day with you!
